Jean-Jacques BARLOY 

 

Born in 1949, Jean-Jacques Barloy obtained a doctorate in zoology specialised in ornithology (with a thesis on the sparrow Passer domesticus). Jean-Jacques Barloy is an animal newspaper man, and the author of numerous articles and books dealing with zoology and of course cryptozoology.

He published two cryptozoological books (figures 1 and 2) : Serpent de mer et monstres aquatiques (1978) on the great sea-serpent and the lake monsters, and Les survivants de l'ombre (1985), which is a panarama of the various cryptozoological files.

Invited by many radio and TV channels, collaborating to a lot of animal magazines, Jean-Jacques Barloy mainly contributed to popularize cryptozoology in France. His main theoretical contributions are about the Beast of Gévaudan and the feral children.
